It is important to identify genital lymphedema early, so appropriate treatment strategies can be applied. Patients often present to the clinician with advanced lymphedema. Conservative treatment using principles of complete decongestive therapy can be successfully employed to help patients, at any stage of lymphedema, to improve their quality of life and decrease dysfunction.
